Knowledge Is Power!
Especially when it comes to your birthing day.
Our childbirth education class is packed with tools and information for both you and your partner, beyond what you might get in a standard hospital course. We delve deeper into the birthing process, highlighting the empowering perspective on how your body was designed to give birth. We also shed more light on various birthing options, coping strategies, and medical interventions. Utilizing this knowledge, you can formulate a “birthing concept” to help you create an open dialog with your medical providers and ensure you are all on the same page. And it’s not just for the mamas! This interactive workshop will help your partner build their labor and delivery support toolbox, full of coping measures, yoga poses, acupressure points, breathing techniques and more.
Recommended at 20+ weeks, dress comfortably, and bring snacks. These workshops fill up quickly, so plan ahead and register!

I was very appreciative of the many diverse representations of birth locations and birthing moms included in these presentations. It's one thing to say "There's no right mom/way" or to claim inclusivity, and then to show only pictures of blonde, perky women and White babies (as we often see in clinic environments). This presentation did not do that. We got to see a variety of moms, dads, and babies all taking part in this universal experience. This made me feel confident in recommending this to a diverse array of moms in my life, knowing that what's on offer is a culturally responsive and culturally respectful presentation. Well done.

The birthing class we took my first pregnancy was provided by the hospital and so clinical and medical focused. This was such a contrast and exactly what we were looking for. We both left feeling empowered and Chris feels like he’s prepared to be a more active participant than he was the last time around.
Words cannot express how thankful we are we took the birthing class with Jacqui in September. What we learned was truly invaluable to out birthing experience. I'm happy to report that I follower my birthing concept of a vaginal birth without any medication. I ended up having back labor and was able to make it through with the pain management techniques. I'm a first time mom and my labor was 8 hours. Blaise and I cannot thank Yoga Haven enough!
