More than ever, people are discovering the benefits of yoga and flocking to study this 5,000 year-old tradition. Now is a good time to expand upon your practice and learn to share the gift that so many people are seeking. Yoga Haven offers an in-depth teacher training curriculum at the 200-hour level that is in full compliance with accreditation standards developed by the Yoga Alliance.
At Yoga Haven, students can expect well-balanced training in a small, supportive environment taught by three highly qualified and supportive instructors who are dedicated to personal attention. Students are equipped with both the technical skills and confidence to teach an eclectic flow style class. Training will start September 2010 and takes place over seven months to allow for the full integration of the material into the student’s practice and life. An additional one-to-two months will be needed to complete requirements. The training meets Wednesday nights 6-9pm and six full Sundays 1-6:30pm.
Yoga Haven’s teacher training offers a profound exploration of body, mind and spirit that will foster growth and healing for yourself and your future students. Yoga Haven has offered six complete 200 hour teacher trainings in the past with over 80 students completing the training. Teachers who graduate from this training offer their healing work in hospitals and nursing homes, schools, including nursery, grade, intermediate, high, prep schools, colleges, universities, community centers, senior centers, senior residences, yoga studios, dance studios, martial arts centers, health clubs, corporations, work with sports teams and privates, as well as work in chiropractic offices, physical therapy centers, churches and synagogues.
"This program opened my inner doors. Before I knew yoga, yoga was black and white. Now I know yoga in colors."
Irene Albuquerque, 2009 Graduate
"I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to attend the program in my life! It "opened up" my vision of life, and set up yoga as an integral part of it. Now, I am ready to go on, with an urge for deepening my experience and knowledge. The progrom is very well designed, and offers a strong knowledge as a foundation."
Benedicte Brouder, 2009 Graduate
"This training was one of the most unbelieval learning expericnes I have ever gone through. I learned more about myself - body, mind and soul, than I ever thought possible. I feel so lucky to have shared this once in a lifetime opportunity with a room full of wonderful, strong, amazing women. I truly feel blessed to have met them all and know that they made an imprint on my life in some way, shape or form...I love that our teachers have such a passon in doing this training, because it makes it all the more worthwhile. "
Deanna Zuzub, 2009 Graduate
“I’m not sure what was happening in that room on those Wednesdays and Sundays but there was a certain vibration or energy that was tangible and healing and hopeful.”
Michele Gervino, 2005 Graduate
“I always looked forward to my teacher training sessions at Yoga Haven. I would leave the training classes feeling invigorated and energized – inspired to share what I had learned with others.”
Janis Bowersox, 2004 Graduate
