During the year, Yoga Haven offers kids yoga class series. These series usually run six weeks. Children and teens experience an enormous amount of stress today. Many things contribute to it: peers, school, families, and competition. We know that stress can affect them physically, mentally and emotionally. In these classes, traditional yoga techniques have been recreated in simple and fun ways that young people can enjoy. Yoga can help create a sense of confidence and well- being, while reducing stress and relaxing them.

Teen Yoga,  Saturdays, 1-2:15pm

Teen Yoga is new class on the regular schedule.  This class invites participants to develop a greater sense of self-confidence by discovering their inner selves which helps them to deal with the dynamic daily life experiences.  Students often become more self-aware and gain a sense of well-being while developing strength and flexibility and learning breathing and relaxation techniques. Students also learn techniques for concentrating, reducing stress and connecting with their bodies in a loving way. (We also offer a level 1 adult class at the same time if the parent is interested in taking class separately also).


Teens accompanied by an adult are free to come to regular level 1 classes. Once teens are accustomed to Yoga Haven and the classes, they are more then welcomed to come on their own.

Family Yoga workshops are run every couple of months. Again, please refer to the workshop page for future workshops. This workshop is fun for the whole family! Yogis and yoginis come together in a lighthearted environment for individual, interactive and partnering poses, games, music, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, and self-expression through yoga. This bonding class is sure to awaken the inner-child of all participants. The class is open to extended family members and care-givers too. The age range is usually 6 - 11 year olds.
