Betsy Kase
Owner & Director of Yoga Haven
Betsy Kase, RYT-500, C-IAYT is the lead instructor of Yoga Haven’s 200 Hour Teacher Training Program. Each year, since Yoga Haven’s inaugural training in 1999, Betsy has given prospective teachers a supportive space to develop, not only as teachers, but as individuals. Betsy considers leading yoga students through the process of learning how to share their love of yoga is one of the most fulfilling parts of her life.
Jill Ganassi
History & Philosophy
Jill Ganassi has been studying yoga philosophy since 1999 and teaching the history and philosophy portion of the Yoga Haven Teacher Training since 2003. She is a certified Iyengar Yoga instructor. She began studying psychology, philosophy, and the eastern spiritual traditions in her undergraduate schooling. Her strength as a philosophy teacher is in making the material applicable to the context of peoples day to day lives. At the same time she is able to cultivate a deeper understanding of the classical tradition of yoga and stays true to the history and the classical texts. She treasures the opportunity to have an on going conversation with fellow seekers about the big questions and use the yogic perspective to help explore the answers. https://www.jillslakehouse.com

She has continued her studies in anatomy with a focus on the spine and yoga with Loren Fishman, MD, Alison West and Elise Browning Miller. Margaret is currently studying for her Master's in Nursing at Columbia and teaches the anatomy & physiology section of Yoga Haven’s teacher training. She has the unique ability to make the material accessible and understandable for all types of learners.
