The Village We Need: Perinatal Support Today with Julie Hartman
Welcome to our second episode of "Yogish."
Communities used to be closely knit, with multiple generations of families living near one another. Older generations shared their knowledge and wisdom with younger parents, offering guidance through pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. While much has changed since those days, it doesn’t mean families today have to navigate this transitional time without support.
In this episode, I speak with Julie Hartman of Nest Assured, who supports families during the prenatal and postpartum periods. Julie is a childbirth educator, new parent educator, certified lactation counselor, and a mom. We talk honestly about the challenges of labor and birth within today’s medical system, share our own birth stories, and explore how we both became passionate educators—responding to the modern-day need for women supporting women. Visit Julie’s website for more information on support and education.
